We are pleased to invite you to attend the 11th Asian Crop Science Association Conference (ACSAC11) that will be held on 19-21 May, 2025 at Sheraton Grand Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.
The theme of ACSAC11 has been set to " Toward Net-Zero Production, Food Security and Sustainability". The conference will spotlight and discuss the cutting-edge research findings in the realm of crop science, especially focusing on low-carbon sustainable production technologies and breeding techniques. All of you are welcome to join us to exchange views on innovative development, food security, nutrition, and environmental sustainability.
This conference aims to provide an important platform for specialists in crop science across Asia to share their most recent works in meeting the challenges of a rapidly changing environment. By fostering discussions among Asian researchers, we hope to advance crop science and promote it further widely. In addition, it also aims to build connections among young researchers to collaboratively contribute to global progress in crop science. Ultimately, the goal of this event is to promote sustainable crop production in Asia for the benefits of people and societies.
Taipei is the economic and political center of Taiwan and has convenient urban transportation, where tradition meets innovation in a bustling metropolis. You can visit the Taipei 101 skyscraper and explore the oldest Chinese collections at National Palace Museum. You can also enjoy a variety of delicious foods, as well as agricultural products from all over Taiwan. Experience the energy and excitement of Taipei – a city that always keeps on progressing!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 ACSAC11, we are looking forward to welcoming you in Taipei in May 2025.
A meeting for the establishment of the international committee for Asian Crop Science Symposium (ACSS) was held in Kyoto, Japan on Aug. 7 to 10, 1990, hosted by the Crop Science Society of Japan. Representatives of crop science-related societies of South Korea, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand and Japan participated in the meeting. In the meeting, based on the discussion regarding the ACSS international committee proposed by the Japanese society, an Asian Crop Science Association (ACSA) Charter was established.
The demand to produce more food for an increasing population, diminishing resources and escalating environmental problems focuses attention on the need to develop efficient, stable and sustainable crop production systems. To achieve this goal, the cooperation of crop scientists by transcending the boundaries of regions and nations are necessary. Based on these common understanding, representatives of Asian and related science societies have organized the “Asian Crop Science Association” in Kyoto. This association will convene scientific meetings on a regular basis to disseminate technological advances, share solutions to common crop production constraints, forge scientific cooperation and foster friendship among scientists in order to promote human welfare. The ACSA shall organize symposia and other scientific meetings every 3 to 4 years, the hosting to be rotated among member societies and publish the proceedings. Membership shall be open to all related crop science and related science societies, scientists and organizations interested in the objective and programs of the ACSA.
